About this product

Custom Inlay & Hot-Stamp Chips

Almost every chip failure a buyer actually complains about is the same failure: the centre art was applied on top of the surface, and a few months of stacking, sliding and riffling scrubbed it off. Both constructions here exist to make that impossible.

A recessed inlay is a printed disc set into a moulded well below the level of the rim, sealed under a clear laminate. Stack the chip, slide it, spin it — every contact lands on the rim, because the rim is the highest point. Run a thumbnail across a proper inlay and you feel it drop into the recess; run it across a cheap chip and you feel the sticker’s edge. That thumbnail catch is the art starting to leave.

A hot stamp is the other honest route: metallic foil pressed into the face under heat, so the mark is a stamp in the surface rather than a layer on it. It carries one colour, it suits initials, monograms and short wordmarks, and it lasts because there is nothing sitting proud to catch.

Both are quoted with the recess depth and laminate named, because that line on the spec is the difference between a set that ages and a set that fades.

FAQ

Custom Inlay & Hot-Stamp Chips: quick answers

What is the minimum order for inlay and hot-stamp chips?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Why did our last set of chips wear blank?
Almost certainly because the art was applied proud of the surface — a printed sticker sitting on top of the chip. Every slide and shuffle scrubbed it. A recessed inlay puts the art below the rim under laminate so play lands on the rim instead; a hot stamp presses the mark into the surface. Either way there is nothing standing up to be scrubbed.
Can you put our full-colour logo in a hot stamp?
No — a hot stamp is a single foil colour pressed into the face, and we will not pretend otherwise. Full colour belongs on a recessed inlay or on a ceramic chip where it is dyed into the surface. We will show you your artwork both ways in the mockup so the trade is visible before anything is made.
